Our Mission Statement

We are Ursuline High School, a college preparatory school of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Youngstown, serving the people of the Mahoning Valley since 1905. We are a caring community of students, families, faculty, and staff who are dedicated to the challenging work of Catholic Education in the twenty-first century. We are inspired by the founding tradition of St. Angela Merici and the Ursuline Sisters to invite persons of diverse backgrounds into a family of faith, achievement, and promise. We instill and celebrate the riches of the Catholic witness of Christianity. We educate young people for life-long learning and living as responsible citizens in a global society. We seek to model the good character and wisdom of our ancestors in faith who have forged a living legacy of accomplishment.

Ursuline High School has provided a quality Catholic education for 100 years. Approximately 18,000 students have passed through our doors. With a celebrated past, Ursuline High School continues to forge on providing the same high standard of excellence. Ursuline’s commitment to excellence is proven in the fact that 94 percent of last year’s graduating class continued their educational pursuits in colleges and universities nation-wide.

• Ursuline High School is the only private school in the Mahoning Valley that is certified by the prestigious North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools.
• The average ACT composite score for those who complete Ursuline High School core curriculum is 23.4, which is well above the national average.
• 2004 graduates accepted over $4 million in merit-based scholarships.
• Three students achieved National Merit Scholarship Semi-finalist status
